Spencer’s Jewelers is a family run jeweler founded in 1944. Original owners Jewel and Eva Spencer apprenticed under two New England jewelers that moved from Maine in 1923 to establish Fickett’s Jewelers. For three generations we have built our reputation on honesty, trust and high ethical standards all of which were started over sixty-five years ago. We constantly strive to stay in the forefront of styles and listen to our customers’ needs and requests. We have always been committed to quality, exceptional value and unmatched personal customer service. Meet The Staff
Bill Spencer: Current owner of Spencer’s Jewelers and second generation. Mr. Spencer was born in Athens, Georgia and has been in the jewelry business since 1979. Mr. Spencer graduated from the University of Georgia and GIA with his diamond certification. He is also a Certified Jeweler by SJTA. Mr. Spencer has a long knowledge of the jewelry industry growing up in it his entire life. His parents were the original founders of Spencer’s Jewelers. Spencer’s is proud to be a long standing member of Jewelers of America and Georgia Jewelers Association.
Ann Spencer: Current owner of Spencer’s Jewelers and wife of Bill Spencer. Mrs. Spencer was originally from Macon, Georgia and attended Mercer University. Mrs. Spencer is known for her restringing of pearls and beaded necklaces and bracelets. She was taught the art of restringing by Mr. Spencer’s mother, Eva Spencer. Mrs. Spencer has her own designer line of pearl and beaded jewelry. She also handles all the in-store restringing. Mrs. Spencer is a Certified Jeweler by SJTA and has been in the jewelry business since 1986.
Chris Spencer: Current manger and third generation. Chris was born in Athens, Georgia and has grown up in the family business. Chris attended Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. Chris is certified in Diamond and Diamond Grading by GIA and Diamond Essentials by GIA. Chris has been working full time at the store since 2005 and handles all of the in-store engraving.
Kim Spencer: The fourth family member, current jewelry designer, social media specialist and third generation. Just as older brother, Chris, was born in Athens, Georgia and has grown up in the family business. Kim attended Georgia State University in Atlanta, receiving a degree in Architectural Interior Design. Kim has been full time at the store since 2014.
Champ: Store mascot and official greeter since 2012.
